How old is too old to resurrect a dead posts, if all even?

I always enjoy reading, and responding to comments so I'm down with it as long as the comments are intelligent/funny.

I try to keep it within two days.

I don't mind if someone replies to something I typed as far back as I've been on kinja...what I don't understand in the "trending" topics that are like, a couple years old....

free for all.

There isn't a time limit, so if you want to say something go for it. It may be a shot in the dark & you may not get a response.

Like that four year old Gawker post that's been trending for the past couple days...

Good point, I try to respond to valid responses no matter how old they are. But sometimes, I ignore them.

I'm of the 1 week opinion. It's usually still relevant news by then, and the user won't immediately go "wait, I don't remember making that post?"

Yeah, Haha.

Last time I got a notification from an old post, I never even remember why I commented on something. Angry FP resurrected comments are annoying, mood swings to the rescue!

It makes me laugh when I get a comment or a star on something that is a few years old. But I usually won't comment on threads that are more than a day old.

No limits as far as I'm concerned, as long as you have something useful or interesting to add to the conversation. It's not necessary, however, to reply with something like "Yeah, me too!" on a post that's more than a month old.
